Overview
Overview
As a Visual Designer at Odyssey Agency, I created static ad campaigns for a variety of DTC brands across beauty, lifestyle, health, and sports industries. Each campaign was designed to support seasonal promotions, product launches, and evergreen marketing efforts. While I cannot share exact metrics due to confidentiality, these ads consistently delivered strong ROAS and conversions, playing a key role in our clients’ growth.

Collaboration & Workflow
Collaboration & Workflow
I partnered closely with assigned Creative Strategists to bring each brand’s vision to life. We communicated daily via Slack and managed tasks through Notion, while weekly Zoom calls with clients kept us aligned on goals, budgets, and upcoming promotions.
Each client provided brand guidelines and assets, which I organized into dedicated Figma and Dropbox folders. This ensured a streamlined design process and easy access to all brand materials.

1. Discovery & Brand Immersion
1. Discovery & Brand Immersion
Every project began with reviewing the client’s brand story, tone, and visual guidelines. I took time to understand their positioning so I could translate their identity into high-impact ad designs.

The Creative Strategist would share campaign ideas from holiday promos such as Black Friday or Mother’s Day to evergreen offers and product-focused pushes. We used inspiration boards using Foreplay, MetaAds, and past top-performers to assist with brainstorming and align on creative direction before client approval.

Once approved, I moved into the client’s dedicated Figma file to create ad sets in both 1×1 (1080×1080) and 9×16 (1080×1920) formats.
🎨 My approach prioritized:
Messaging hierarchy: Headline → subhead → callouts → CTA
Readability: Ensuring text stood out against imagery
Brand consistency: Aligning colors, typography, and tone with guidelines
Immediate impact: Grabbing attention within the first few seconds of view
⚙️ Toolkit:
Figma for primary design and layout
Photoshop for image retouching and editing
Illustrator for vector adjustments and refinements
Midjourney + Photoshop when clients and creative strategists requested AI-generated assets, refined to meet brand standards before finalizing in Figma

4. Iteration & Feedback
4. Iteration & Feedback
First drafts were shared internally via Figma for creative strategist review, followed by client review in a external page. Some designs went through multiple iterations, where I balanced business goals with creative integrity explaining design choices and advocating for clarity and cohesion when needed.

After approval, I exported the static designs to Dropbox for our Account Directors to launch across Instagram and Facebook. Once ads were live, performance was reviewed through Motion.app and Meta Ads Manager. These tools allowed our team to track metrics like engagement, CTR, and conversions, helping us identify which creative elements resonated most and informed future iterations.

Challenges
Throughout my time at Odyssey Agency, there were often instances where I worked on campaigns with very tight deadlines, which taught me how to prioritize messaging, streamline my Figma workflow, and stay focused under pressure. Managing multiple brands at once also meant switching contexts quickly while keeping designs consistent. When client feedback conflicted with best practices, I explained my decisions clearly and created variations to guide approvals. These experiences strengthened my adaptability and gave me confidence in defending thoughtful design choices.
